Back at St. Barths Bucket Regatta

March 18, 2018

Just a few months earlier, the island of Saint-Berthélemy was devestated by hurricanes Irma and Maria, but the traditional St. Barths Bucket as a meaningful part of the island’s life is back again.

The St. Barths Bucket donation was applied to addressing the island’s urgent needs and to providing critical supplies to clear roads and to help rebuild what was lost. This year’s event poster is being sold for helping those still in need for financial aid. (Paradise is not lost by Barby MacGowan - https://bucketregatta.com/2018/03/14/paradise-is-not-lost/)

The fleet is down to 26 entries, but everyone is looking forward to this joyous event. The Pantaenius team is at site during these spectacular days of Superyacht racing.

The races were opened by three J-Class Yachts on Thursday, fleet racing under their own class rules, followed by the Superyachts racing timed-start pursuit races under ORCsy and ORCcs rating rules together with World Sailing’s Appendix SY. The entire fleet was starting their three days racing on Friday.
