All Yacht Hull Insurance policies specifically exclude cover for damages resulting from events of a political nature. For this reason, Pantaenius recommends that yacht owners, who cruise or regularly berth in troubled areas maintain a special insurance rider to their Yacht Hull Insurance policies in order to cover the risk of confiscation, strike and war.
